Mount of Mars (Lower / Negative)
The area between the Mount of Jupiter and the Mount of Venus, above the thumb — governs physical courage and combativeness.
Lower Mars sits between the Mount of Jupiter and the Mount of Venus, just above the thumb's join to the palm. It is sometimes called 'negative' or 'active' Mars, in contrast to Upper Mars. It governs physical courage, assertiveness, and the instinct to fight or defend rather than endure quietly. Well-developed, it suggests healthy assertiveness; overdeveloped, it can produce a hot temper or aggression; deficient, it suggests timidity or an unwillingness to stand up for oneself physically.
Spotting it: Look at the area between the base of the index finger (Jupiter mount) and the top of the thumb's mount (Venus), just inside the thumb's edge.
